The Nordic Welder...

... would like to wish you all a happy (American) thanksgiving.

A heated building sadly remains something of a fever dream but I know how to stay toasty: a funny woolen tĂȘte cozy.

Cool it down.

The window making is moving along nicely but doesn't provide a whole lot of fodder for blog updates so instead why don't you say hello to Miss Linda Lee.

She's got the power to break into the building and make me rescue her from the rafters twice in one day.

Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Meow. Help.

She looks angry but she's not angry she just doesn't like the flash. Also, she's really cute.

Now go fight with the rest of the alley kittens. No food here little missy.
I love her.

Happy birthday to me!

It's my birthday tomorrow and look what I gave myself:

One roof all shingled right up to the ridge.

"Thanks Drew!"

"Your welcome. It wasn't easy considering all the rain we got this month but I'm glad I got it done before the big day. I also got you this...

...one window that opens and closes just like a real window, and there are several more just like it."

"Wow, thanks Drew. How does it work?"

"Well you see it's hinged like this:"

"I see. I like it, it's nicely primitive."

"Yeah, it's both chunky and beefy which are qualities I look for in a hinge."

"Me too. How did you know?"

"Just a lucky guess. Happy Birthday Drew!"

"Thanks Drew."
